THE WONDERFUL PATTY & BUN

THE WONDERFUL PATTY & BUN

I don’t even know where to start with this post, as this was THE BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD.

You will find Patty & Bun on James St just a few minutes was from Bond Street Tube Station. We had to queue for about 20 mins to get in as we hit the lunch time rush and also because the place only seats about 20 or so!

Lets start with the burger, here we have the ‘Lambshank Redemption’ which consists of a lamb patty with coriander and chili, lettuce, buttermilk baby courgettes, pickled aubergine, cumin aioli, feta and put inside a brioche bun!

The chips are absolutely wonderful, they come with a rosemary salt sprinkled on them which is seriously delicious combination!

The icing on this cake are the wings! They fall off the bone and are exploding with flavour, described on the menu as ‘smoked confit wings with BBQ sauce & spring onions.’ Definitely some of the best wings I have had in a while.

Whilst there we accompanied these delights with a Brooklyn Lager which suited the situation perfectly.

To put it simply, YOU JUST HAVE TO GO! And you will probably see me in the queue there too.

BERLIN (part 1)

BERLIN (part 1)

This just a tiny snippet of the food I ate in Berlin.

I thought I would cover all bases, by showing off Breakfast, Liquid Lunch, Dinner and Drunk 2am Burgers.

Here we have a delicious kebab (which had a queue of about 10mins) for breakfast. It was nothing like an english kebab, it was fresh, succulent and meaty. Thus, the perfect way to start the day!

Then the liquid lunch of a delicious Berliner beer. Beer is at the heart of Berlin, it is socially acceptable to drink on the street and it is sold at almost every shop. It is also exceptionally cheap, thus whilst there drink as many different types as you can!

We then move onto dinner, which to be honest I cannot remember the name of (1) Because I was slightly drunk and 2) Because all the names are very long and confusing) BUT it was some sort of delicious thick ham with a sweet chili mustard in a homemade bun!

Then finally we have BURGERMEISTER, a wonderful outdoor stall that is open til 2.30am-ish and provides the perfect solution to drunken cravings! It is absolutely delicious (from what I remember).

Basically if you love food and beer, GO TO BERLIN!

This Belgian style restaurant is perfect for MOULES, FRITES and BEER.

They even have a BEER BIBLE!

If you want to try a new beer then the staff are more than willing to help you choose from the huge selection on offer. You can buy a 4 pint jug of any draft beer you want with 10% off or a beer stick which consists of 6 different beers all in 1/3 of a pint glasses for £12.

This is an excellent place for trying new beers and delicious food.
